The Glendale Orioles have a chance to sneak into the championship game. After a 1-3 start to the season, the Orioles have gone 4 and 1, losing only to the undefeated Diamondbacks. This run featured many exciting games including a breakout victory in which Brian Kornis, Carroll McNall, and James Krikelas combined for 6 home runs and about 18 RBI. It also included outstanding defense from the entire team (esp. Mark and Leslie at short and second base) in an 11-10 nailbiter. My father was the offensive star for the first time in a victory on July 15th, going 3 for 3 with several RBIs, and I carried the offense in the last game by hitting for the cycle.
So, if we win next week and the Brewers lose, we tie for second, and we hold the tie-breaker. Hooray! More posts as games occur.
